Breana works with a person centered approach, to learn about , understand, and assist each person in reaching their therapeutic goals. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions and modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution Focused, Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prime for Life, grounding techniques, deep breathing, and muscle relaxation.
Breana strives to end the stigma of mental health. She believes that in this world, we need to make mental health a priority. Be the beacon of light in someone's darkness. Be insightful of how you impact others, be kind, and be aware that not all illnesses are visible. Stop making fun of people, because they cry, they pace, they cancel plans, they talk in circles, they fidget, they struggle, they depersonalize, or they have irrational and far fetched thoughts.
Breana's motto is, "Be supportive, allow people to speak, actively listen, reflect feelings, have EMPATHY, and stop the stigma. Not a single person in this world can escape the impacts of mental health. Please be aware. Please be supportive, and please know that every persons feelings are valid."
